90 years of experience for your convenience!
Equipped with an abundance of ideas and the spirit of innovation Werner Engel founded this company producing desserts for canteen kitchens in 1932. With the acquisition of a potato processing plant in 1959 the range of products was enlarged and we were able to very quickly branch out into foreign markets. In 2011 we were able to obtain more than 50% of foreign sales for the first time. Today, about 190 employees in the development and in the production department ensure that you can concentrate on what is of importance for you – to make your products best-sellers.
Made in Germany…and according to the highest quality standards

To produce CO2 friendly is our obligation.
We are today already shaping the future of our children. Thus, a CO2 friendly production with a high use of renewable energy is particulary important for us. In respect thereof, we have erected a biomass heating plant together with the City of Goch and RWE already in 2012. The result her being: our power plant generates electricity for many of the households in the City of Goch as well as 100% of the amount of steam we need for our manufacturing process. Since 2016 we are also able to generate an additional amount of gas needed for our drying process from a treatment of our process water within our company. Consequently, we are able to produce environmentally friendly and CO2 – friendly. Because, when considering the environment every step counts.
We place nature into the focus of our actions
We constantly live in an exchange with our nature which provides us with the raw materials we need. It is thus our commitment to preserve nature for our children and as a consequence we are actively engaged in our region already today.
Be it by planting wildflower strips along the potato fields or by establishing biotopes on our company premises: the preservation of nature is the central concern of our actions. We support initiatives such as, for example, an action group consisting of members from forestry industry and of members from the Waldjugend regarding a «pollution police» for the reforestation project of the “Reichwald” Forest with 2,200 beech tree seedlings.
